FATHER Christmas will be making several visits to the Dartmoor Railway this December.

On December 17, 18, 23 and 24, the railway will be running two special trains on each day at 11am and 2pm.

Visitors will enjoy an hour-long return train ride from Okehampton to North Tawton. Adults can enjoy a mulled wine or hot drink, while youngsters can enjoy a soft drink, and there will be mince-pies for all.

Upon returning to Okehampton station, Father Christmas will be in his grotto to welcome children, listen to their Christmas wishes and give them each a present.

Tickets cost £12 for adults, £10 for children and £5 for infants under 12 months.

The railway will also be running special services from December 27 to December 31.

The return trains will leave Okehampton at 10am, 12.40pm and 3.40pm for Meldon, and 11am and 2pm to Bow.
