THE latest project for reception pupils in Bell Tor Class at Okehampton Primary has been brought to life by a visit from vet Kirsten Phippard.

The class have been learning about vets and looking after animals, and Okeford Veterinary Centre's Kirsten Phippard popped in to talk about what it was like being a vet and how she looks after animals.

After learning about what Kirsten does, the children got to dress up in gowns and use her equipment, a thermometer, stethscope and syringes.
