CASTLE Quilters of Okehampton are holding a coffee morning on September 3 to raise money for a unique project.
The quilters will be in the Charter Hall from 9am to noon to raise funds for the transportation costs of 12 quilts made by the group for the Provadia Children's Home in Bulgaria.
The orphanage has close links to Okehampton Baptist Church and the Okehampton-based charity House of Rachel, and provides housing for girls between the ages of 8 and 18.
The informal group of quilters meet every Tuesday and made the quilts in these sessions. The quilts being sent out to the home will be on display and there will be stalls to browse. All are welcome to come and raise as much money as possible for such a special cause.
