THE Church of St Michael in Meeth will host their annual animal blessing on Sunday August 7.

All pets and their owners will be welcome to join the service, giving thanks and asking God's blessing for the whole animal kingdom.

It will also be a time to remember man's interdependence with nature and recognise the duty of care we have towards the natural world.

The service starts at the church at 11am.
