DEVON'S largest open studios event, featuring work by hundreds of the county's talented artists and makers continues until September 19, providing an opportunity to visit artists in their homes/studios, see them at work and take the chance to chat to them.
Around the Chagford, Gidleigh, South Zeal, Belstone, Drewsteignton, Lydford and North Tawton areas, artists including Patricia Lomax, Val Hampson, Chris Ellis, Kari McGowan, Virginia Richards, Joanna Ford and David Gundry will be among others welcoming visitors to show them their work in pottery, paint in many media, photography, wood, ceramics, fabrics, felt and furniture.
Jewellery, sculpture, woodwork, prints and textiles are all on offer from more than 260 artists exhibiting at more than 130 locations across the county.
Entry to all studios is free and some artists will be providing demonstrations of their work or participatory workshops.
Many are also offering visitors the chance to relax with refreshments and cream teas.
Many artists are clustered in areas, enabling people to follow a natural trail. Art can be combined with walking or exploring by bike.
Full details of artists and participating venues can be found in the Devon Open Studios guide at all tourist information centres or can be obtained by email from [email protected]">[email protected]
