POLICE are appealing for information following an attack on lambs near North Tawton recently. The lambs were grazing near to The Barton in North Tawton on the B3215 and sustained substantial injury to their ears in the attack. Police are requesting anyone with relevant information to call 101, quoting crime reference JO/14/311. A spokesman for Okehampton Police said: 'Police want to remind dog owners of the importance of keeping their dogs under control at all times when near livestock, especially during the lambing season, as there have been some incidents over the past few months where sheep and lambs have been attacked. 'This causes suffering to the animal and potentially a loss to the farmer.'
