HATHERLEIGH awarded its community stalwarts at an awards evening held at the community centre last Friday.

Awards were presented as follows: Outstanding under 18 female, Holly Gilbert-West; outstanding under 18 male, Stephen Downing; outstanding adult female, Liz Abel; outstanding adult male, Ian Trenaman; outstanding group, Hatherleigh Luncheon Club; oustanding contribution to the community, the Rev John Leach, and lifetime achievement award, Geoffrey Cleverdon CBE.
