FIRE crews were sent to extinguish a fire believed to have been started deliberately in an allotment shed in Okehampton on Sunday afternoon.

The shed, on an allotment to the rear of Northfield Road, was well alight when crews arrived. Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets to fight the blaze. Seventy per cent of the shed was severely damaged by the fire. Police attended the scene.
