OKEHAMPTON band DownFall are performing strongly in a nationwide competition — and need the continued support of people from the town to help them clinch the top prize.

The band, comprised of Jake and Mack Hodgson, Karl Little and Nathan Bostock, are looking to win the title of Brand New Artist 2015.

The competition looks to promote the best unsigned talent in the country with the aim of making the competition winner reach the Christmas number 1 spot on the charts.

The winner receives a £100,000 recording contract.

At the end of the second week of the competition, DownFall were in the top spot.

The band needs support via votes to progress in the competition.

To vote, send an e-mail to [email protected]">[email protected] with the word VOTE in the subject line and 24 in the main body of the e-mail.

The group has been playing original material since April 2013 and has played well over 100 shows.
