TOUCHWOOD Design, an Okehampton based graphic design company, has recently won a national award.
A booklet was created to guide people on 22 self-guided walks from stations along the Tarka Railway line. With maps, points of interest and beautiful illustrations of the stations, the booklets have become very popular with walkers.
Produced by the Tarka Rail Association, funded by Devon County Council, Devon and Cornwall Rail Partnership, First Great Western, Passenger Focus and others, the first printing of the booklet was free to users.
Alan Simons, business partner said: 'We are adept at the creation of user friendly literature, this was a great opportunity to help the funding partners make a serious impression and get people exploring the countryside via rail.'
The award judges said the design had a real 'wow factor'.
Touchwood have been established in the South West since 1998 and offer marketing and design support for all types of business.
