MORE than 100 pupils from Chagford Primary School last week joined a global call-up to lobby world leaders on climate change.
The protest came on the day before the United Nations summit on climate change. People from 130 countries all over the planet joined a `flashmob', calling in unison on their mobile phones at 12.18pm for change.
The Chagford crew phoned Gordon Brown and shouted: 'Wake up world leaders and help save the planet!'
As part of the party atmosphere there was singing, dancing and drumming, finishing with a group Tai Chi exercise.

Local organiser Clare Tyler said: 'It's really wonderful to see everyone coming together and to bring our tiny community in line with events that are happening all over the world.
'People are really worried about climate change and this is a way of being heard.
'It's particularly important that the children learn that their voices can make a real difference.'
