PAYING council tax is easier for residents of Torridge District thanks to the council's new e-billing service.
Once signed up to the convenient, paperless service, residents will receive their council tax bills via e-mail instead of post. Signing up has been made simple to encourage people to join the scheme, which saves time, money and resources.
Head of finance at Torridge Council, Steve Hearse said: 'It really is the best way to manage your council tax.
'Annual billing costs the council around £10,000 a year so when local residents do sign up for electronic billing, potentially many thousands of pounds could be saved in postage and stationery costs.'
