West Devon Borough Councillor Barry Ratcliffe has revealed his artistic side as an exhibition of his work opened last week at a North Tawton gallery.
The exhibition, entitled Pencil, Ink and Print, opened to the public last Tuesday (July 5) at the Ruth Smith Gallery and displays a range of Cllr Ratcliffe’s silk screen prints which are made using a silk mesh stencil over which ink or paint is rolled, a technique similar to lino printing, to create the finished image.
Cllr Ratcliffe has portrayed a wide range of different scenes from landscapes to empty cafe rooms using this skilled medium.
Pencil, Ink and Print will run to July 31.
