BELSTONE Village Hall is to host an old-fashioned race night on Saturday, February 21.

Much more involved than TV race nights, the event involves rolling the dice and moving six coloured wooden horses up and down a board for a series of handicaps, hurdles, flat races and steeplechases.

The unusual event starts at 7pm, and tickets which include a hot supper of curry or casserole cost £5 for adults or £3 for children under 12.
