OKEHAMPTON Medical Centre has released a list of dates for patients to get their flu vaccinations.

Patients over the age of 65 are eligible for free vaccinations, and all patients under 65 with a chronic illness such as heart failure, diabetes or respiratory problems, those who have a carer, and those who are immuno-suppressed are also recommended to have a vaccination.

The dates for vaccinations at the medical centre are Saturday October 8 and Saturday October 15 between 8.30am and noon. Appointments are not necessary.

There are also a series of vaccination dates at local village halls. Patients can get vaccinated at Exbourne Village Hall on Tuesday October 11, Belstone Village Hall on Tuesday October 18 and South Zeal Village Hall on Tuesday October 25. Each of these sessions runs from 2pm to 4pm.

For all of the above sessions, appointments will not be necessary. There will also be some bookable appointments available.
