FIRE crews from Okehampton were mobilised to a report of a large diesel spillage on Monday, following a road collision on the A386 at Folly Gate.

The incident, which happened shortly before 1pm, involved approximately 130 litres of diesel and a small quantity of hydraulic fluids spilled on the road from an overturned heavy goods vehicle. The diesel was contained within a ditch on the roadside verge.

Crews made the area safe, using tools and environmental packs.
