AS part of Biosphere Action Week school pupils from Winkleigh will be taking a trip and enjoying some pond bug hunting on Thursday, September 30.

The event is organised by the Winkleigh Biodiversity Group. The children will be joining the WBG on its continuing survey of local ponds to improve their wildlife value.

Members of the biodiversity group will educate the children about ponds and the creatures that live in them. The results will then be analysed by a conservation group at Oxford Brookes University to compare the data nationally.
