A WET morning meant entries for Sampford Courtenay family dog show were down on previous years. But the weather was dry for the afternoon. Competitors travelled from quite a distance to enjoy the well organised, friendly show.
Thanks were expressed to the many sponsors, which include Courtenay Kennels, Mark Hedges Construction, Marshall Joinery and R V Taylor Transport Ltd. Also those who supplied prizes, particularly Vital Dog Foods and Mole Avon for their support.
The judge commented on the good condition of all the dogs. Thanks also went to veterinary surgeon Bryony Herrod-Taylor for judging and to the stewards and the hard work of the committee. The show raised around £300.
