HUNDREDS of rubber ducks will be let loose this Easter in the annual Teignton Fayre Duck Race.
The race, which is organised by committee members to raise money for organisations in Drewsteignton and surrounding area, will also help this year's nominated charity, HeartSWell, which supports heart sufferers, their partners and carers in the South West.
Fayre secretary Erica Davies said: 'The sight of hundreds of plastic ducks floating down the River Teign is really something to behold. Fingle Bridge is a stunning backdrop to a great afternoon with prizes to be won, fun to be had and good causes are also benefitting.'
The race is on Easter Monday, April 5, at 2.30pm. It will start slightly upstream from Fingle Bridge in Drewsteighton and the finish line is just outside the Fingle Bridge Inn.
Ducks can be bought on the day and a hot-dog stand will be on hand to keep the hunger pangs at bay while families cheer on their ducks.
