A CHAGFORD nursery has received an award after being voted by its readers as favourite garden in the South West.
Stone Lane Gardens won the award from BBC Gardeners' World magazine, ahead of the Eden Project and Trebah Gardens in Cornwall. It was also voted most romantic garden in the South West.
Manager Paul Bartlett said: 'We are delighted that our hard work in making Stone Lane Gardens an attractive and interesting place to visit, seems to be starting to make an impression on people.
'We are over the moon to have won first place in two categories and to beat established gardens like the Eden Project is remarkable.'
The garden is open all year round, seven days a week, from 2pm until 6pm. The sculpture exhibition runs until Sunday, October 3.
