WEST Country Financial, based in Kilworthy Park, is the latest organisation in Tavistock to be recognised as being ‘dementia-friendly’.

Following awareness training with all their staff carried out by Tavistock Dementia Action Alliance, the business can now display their dementia-friendly award.

Principal Mike James said: ‘It is often an issue for carers and families of those with dementia to discuss financial matters. We, both ethically and professionally, want to assure them that we have knowledge, awareness and understanding of dementia and its impact on them.’
