RENOWNED storyteller Michael Dacre will be telling folk tales in Okehampton Library on the morning of September 14.

The event will take place from 10.30am to 11.30am to celebrate his book 'Devonshire Folk Tales'.

Michael has been collecting and telling the folk tales and legends of Devon for 25 years now and still considers them among the most exciting stories in Britain.

Many are local to North Dartmoor and Okehampton itself.

Participants will be thrilled by tales of the devil on Dartmoor, the ghosts of Okehampton, as well as Devonshire characters and strange events from around this marvellous and magical county and be enchanted by Wendy Dacre's hauntingly beautiful songs.

The event is free.
