THE exciting 'Hatherleigh's Got Talent' competition returns in November following the success of last year's inaugural event — and organisers this week urged potential contestants to start practising in preparation for the event.
The contest will be open to absolutely everybody, regardless of what their talent may be. So whether you are a musician, poet, dancer, comedian, magicians, or you have another talent, you will be welcome to perform.
'Hatherleigh's Got Talent' is open to residents across the area, not just to those living in Hatherleigh.
Liz Abell, chairmain of trustees of Hatherleigh Community Centre, said: 'I was hugely impressed with the standard of all the entries last year, and this year the competition is likely to be fierce to win the top spot.
'If you want to take part, I would suggest that you start practising now and make sure you keep the evening free in your diary.
Last year's winner was Holly Gilbert, who at 14 years old wowed the judges with her singing, guitar playing and song writing ability. Since her success in last year's competition, Holly has performed at number of events, and is scheduled to be at the Hatherleigh Community Awards in September.
The fun-filled evening will cater for the whole family, and there will be refreshments and a bar. All the money raised will help to support the centre.
Keep your eyes peeled, as information on how to register will be revealed in the next couple of months at Hatherleigh Community Centre, and in the Times.
