Chairman of Tavistock AFC Paul Stapleton has said that foul and abusive language towards players, staff or officials will not be tolerated after receiving complaints at some recent games.
In a statement he said: ’It is with regret to say that we have received some complaints of late regarding bad language at some of our recent games at Langsford Park.
’We therefore feel the need to remind supporters of their duties and responsibilities to act in the correct manner and that Tavistock AFC will under no circumstances accept foul and abusive language towards players, staff or officials.
’We pride ourselves on being a family club and while these complaints are disappointing, they are being dealt with. We are very proud of the way the club conducts itself both on and off the football pitch, which is why we feel it is important to politely remind supporters that such behaviour will not be tolerated.
’The ‘Lamb Army’ are a vital part of our football club and we are always so grateful for your support, be it at Langsford Park, or when we play elsewhere.
’We thank you all for that continued support and hope you get behind Stuart, Ken and all the team as we strive to reach our goal of promotion.
’Up the Lambs!’
