PARKLANDS Leisure Centre in Okehampton and Meadowlands in Tavistock are offering a free day pass for each medal Team GB wins during the 2014 Winter Olympics.

For every medal Team GB wins in Sochi in any event, the following day people will be able to claim a free one-day pass to use at either centre. Team GB's medal successes during these games are snowboarder Jenny Jones, who became Great Britain's first ever medallist on the snow during the winter games, and Lizzie Yarnold, who won gold in the women's skeleton, beating her nearest rivals by nearly a second.

To claim your free pass quote 'Team GB' at the reception of your local centre the day after Team GB wins their medal.

Kevin Yates, head of fitness at Leisure Connection, said: 'With 98 events taking place, we hope that Team GB comes home with an array of medals. We want to celebrate this by inviting people to come and try out our facilities and be inspired to take up a new sport.'
