A DAY of family fun is in store in Jacobstowe this Sunday to help support a local dog rescue.

Hayes Barton Barn Field will host a dog show and family fun day on Sunday, September 2 to raise funds for K9Focus.

The show will have 16 categories, including best puppy, best pedigree dog and bitch, and waggiest tail. There will also be two obedience classes.

Other fun includes a bouncy castle, the Hartland Wildlife Rescue bringing Misty the Fox, and stalls and stands.

The day has been organised by K9Focus volunteers to raise money for the charity set up by Lynne and Nick Hall with the aim of rescuing unwanted and abandoned dogs, and raising awareness of the plights of many dogs dumped in pounds.

The fun day starts at 10am — follow the signs or use postcode EX20 3RJ to find your way to the field via sat-nav.
