I AM delighted that the Ockment Centre in Okehampton has had the refurbishment and investment that it deserves.  

As a Devon County councillor working with groups all over the county I have been aware for many years of the good work and dedication of the staff at the Ockment Centre and what a hub it is to Okehampton.

When I heard it needed support I drew it to the attention of Devon County Council leader Brian Greenslade and accompanied him to a meeting with staff and trustees.  

I am very pleased that so many groups and organisations pulled together to help this much needed work get through.
