THE new owners of the Winsford Walled Gardens have kindly agreed to open the garden, which was built in 1883, as part of the Halwill Open Gardens event to be held on Sunday July 3 from 2pm until 5pm.
There are ten other gardens open and all proceeds are in aid of the Winsford Trust. Entrance to all the gardens is £4 and a map, which acts as the entry ticket, is available from the Winsford Centre on Dreybury Lane (at the side of the Junction Inn), Halwill Junction.
Refreshments will be available at the centre, and there will be several stalls, including plant sales, under the marquee on the lawn. Parking for this event is in the parish hall car park or across the road in the car park behind the shops. These are only 100 yards from the Winsford Centre.
Dugald Stark will be staging a small display of some of his paintings on the day, so, if you are a lover of beautiful gardens, paintings, woven willow goods or a homemade cream tea then the place to be on July 3 is Halwill Junction.
