A MIXTURE of theory and practical exercises will aim to get green-fingered individuals to grow their own veg on Saturday May 19.
The Made-Well project, based at West Fishleigh Farm in Hatherleigh, runs a community food growing project which provides training, support and employment opportunities for disadvantaged or marginalised members of society.
The not for profit community interest company has a dedicated horticulture site along with training facilities, kitchen, shop and café to promote a better understanding of food and healthy living.
The project aims to encourage participation by people of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
The course on vegetable growing will look at sowing, planting, cropping and planning tips. It costs £25 and runs from 10am to 3pm, with lunch included. For more information call 07826 935935 or e-mail [email protected]">[email protected]
