MAY I, through your letters page,  thank the people of the area for all their overwhelming help and support — in many and varying ways —  of The Red Cross for Syria concert given by Vocal Harem, with their guests the Loveny Male Voice Choir, in The Wharf, Tavistock recently.

The evening raised the staggering sum of £1,750 which will be sent to the Red Cross to help directly with their aid work in the present Syrian refugee crisis.

Thank you all for your amazing generosity and compassion.
