INSPIRATION Church in Okehampton welcomed a special guest when founder of the Joshua Project, Jan van der Kooij gave a talk.

The Joshua Project, which is based in Jeffery's Bay in South Africa, provides a safe haven for vulnerable children living on the streets.

The project provides support, as well as education and training for the children to enable them to be better equipped in life.

The Rev Chris Bourne and his wife, Brenda, from Inspiration Church, have visited the Joshua Project and are keen to support Mr van der Kooij to raise awareness and funds for the project around the UK.

A special fund has now been set up at Inspiration Church to support the Joshua Project.
