South East division two

Yeovil B 1

Okehampton 4

OKEHAMPTON travelled to Yeovil with their title wrapped up and with the pressure off they went out for enjoyment and it showed with the way they played.

They stated brightly and with and aggressive formation with only two defenders made for an attacking display from the visitors.

They opened the scoring when Nick Luxton did remarkably well to control the keepers clearance and then found Mark Parsons who converted. Chris Luxton provided the second goal when he crossed the ball for Parsons to score again within minutes.

Andy Paterson then beat four defenders as he walked through the home side defence but for an outstanding piece of goalkeeper he would have scored.

The second half saw more of the same with the away side dominating and playing some really good hockey, man of the match Simon Bourne got the third after a fantastic passing build up.

Parsons then found Bourne from a long corner and the completed Oke's scoring, with the game in the bag they changed a few players around. Nick Luxton missed an open goal and Mark Bingham had a sweeped shot saved. Parsons then reacted quickly to help his keeper Hayden Bond and saved a shot on the line; Yeovil did manage to breach the visitors goal as a well worked move found their right winger unmarked for a tap in.

This was a superb way to end a brilliant campaign for Okehampton who will now be in South East division one next year.
