I WAS helping a friend in the market six to eight weeks ago and a young lady came in looking to sell a silver bracelet as she was hard-up and needed the money for petrol.

She couldn’t find any jewellers who would buy it from her so I told her I would give her £10 for it and that she could come back in next week and swap the money and bracelet over again.
