SOME of the South West's finest producers of food, drink and music are making their way to West Devon for a special day out next week.
With a mix of some of Devon's top celebrities, lashings of Ruby Country's finest food and drink, the Rangemoors' House Warming Party and Open Day on Saturday, September 20 in Winkleigh promises to be a great day out for the whole family.
Based at Winkleigh airfield, Rangemoors, formerly the South West Wood Burning Centre, is hosting the event to celebrate the company's new name and their new Aga Rangemaster Design Centre.
The day starts at 10am and runs until 5pm with free entry for all. As well as a festival of food there will be live music and entertainment for all ages.
BBC Radio Devon's Judi Spiers will open the festivities before joining Chris Archambault, the head chef at Exeter's Hotel Barcelona, for a cooking demonstration with a difference.
Using Ruby Country produce, Chris will be cooking on traditional range cookers.
There will be demonstrations throughout the day and many tips on local sourcing.
Other highlights will include Okehampton beef producers, Sue and Phil Friend, serving up their famous Ruby Country burgers, Dunstable Farm Ice Cream and 'Pig's Snout' apple juice from North Devon Farm near Crediton.
Music will come in the form of live jazz from the Gittisham Hall Band as well as country music from Roger Colome.
'Storyfella' Clive Pig will be using masks, music, puppetry and song as part of his performance of energetic tales in 'Yurt of Tobias Fairlove Yurts.'
Andrew Baker, Rangemoors commercial director, said: 'We are delighted to become Rangemoors.
'We look forward to welcoming you.'
