SEVEN West Devon primary schools took part in an cross country race at Lewdown Cricket Club, which was organised by Lew Trenchard School.

The organisers said there were more than 50 children in both the girls’ and boys’ races which was a superb turnout.

The schools taking part were Boasley Cross, Exbourne, Lew Trenchard, Bridestowe, Lifton, Hatherleigh and Whitchurch.

Results: Girls — 1, Liberty from Lifton School; 2, Holly from Lew Trenchard School; 3, Nalami, Lifton. Boys — Jonty, Lew Trenchard; 2, Ben, Lew Trenchard; 3, Thomas, Bridestowe.
