CHILDREN at Black Torrington School learned about the importance of recycling last week after a visit from 'Mrs Recycle'.
More commonly known as Cathy Karniewicz, 'Mrs Recycle' was at the school promoting Reducing, Reusing, Composting and Recycling for Torridge District Council with Beccy Evans from Resource Futures for Devon County Council's Waste Management team.
Pupils from class 1 learned how important it is to home-compost, and sort out food waste for kerbside collection — as well as finding a fun side to recycling and composting.
For those living in the Torridge District area interested in composting, call 01237 428734 for details on how to purchase a £12 black composting bin.
