THE sound of morris music rang out from the Seven Stars in Winkleigh on Saturday, as part of a marathon charity event.

Dancers from Winkleigh Morris undertook a twelve hour sponsored music marathon, playing as many different morris folk tunes as possible and performing dances. The event was organised to raise money for the Typhoon Haiyan appeal following the widespread chaos caused by the typhoon in the Philippines.
The event has raised more than £800 for the appeal.
