OKEHAMPTON Town Council is adjusting its office hours in an effort to provide better access to the public. Town councillors have noted the increased emphasis on electronic communications over recent years, but have also been aware of the importance of the council being accessible to the casual visitor during the lunch period. To help with this, the council office at the town hall will be open from 10am straight through to 3pm from Monday to Thursday, excluding public holidays. If necessary, appointments outside these hours can be arranged by contacting the office on 01837 53179 or by e-mail on [email protected]">[email protected] – the change became effective from Tuesday, April 22.
