Okehampton Running Club braved the Grizzly 'Valley of the bogs' race earlier this month.
This year's Grizzly run, a 20 mile off-road adventure of bogs, sea, shingle and hills made it one of the toughest yet in its 24 year history.
A record number of people started - more than 1,650 runners braved the course which began on Seaton sea front.
Eight adventurous runners from ORC took part, all achieving great times for such a demanding course. The times were: Andy Vallance (13th) 2 hrs 50min; Roger Voaden (22nd) 2hrs 52min; Gavin Punchard (31st) 2hrs 56min; Paul Crease (395th) 3 hrs 44min; Deborah Cunningham (1,260th) 4hrs 51mins; Wendy Mansfiel (1,270th) 4hrs 52min; Philippa Allom (1,271st) 4hrs 52 mins.
