Lloyds has confirmed that Okehampton’s only bank has been closed after a staff member was diagnosed with Covid-19.

A Lloyds bank spokesman promised today that the branch would be reopened as soon as possible.

He said: ’We have temporarily closed the Okehampton branch after a colleague was diagnosed with Covid-19.

’Our priority is the well-being of our colleagues and customers and we continue to follow Government guidance.

’As a number of our colleagues are now self-isolating we’re unable to open the branch, but we’ll reopen as soon as we can.’
