AN Okehampton dog trainer has called the atmosphere at Crufts ’electric’ after competing in this year’s competition.

Lauren Langman took her two border collies and seasoned competition veterans Fiji and Tiki to Crufts along with her cocker spaniel Blink, who competed at Crufts for the very first time into the agility competitions. She secured two fourth placed finishes, a fifth and a sixth. She made the finals but luck did not shine on her on the day.

She said: ’We had an amazing few days there and we had Fiji, Tiki and Blink all in the Championship Class on Sunday, which was a huge privilege. The atmosphere at Crufts is electric! And what a huge celebrations of active dogs and happy dog owners. We can’t wait to be back there next year.’

Lauren competes in agility at level seven, the highest rank of competition in the British agility arena, and has previously represented Team GB at the World Agility Championships.

2015 was Lauren’s most successful competition year ever, winning six agility championship certificates with three different dogs, taking one of her dogs to agility champion status in six months and making it onto the IFCS World Agility Team with two dogs.
