OKEHAMPTON and District Lions Club is repeating its successful Memory Tree of Lights this Christmas – with residents invited to sponsor a bulb in memory of a loved one.

The club will be once again placing a tree in the Red Lion Yard outside the entrance to the Charter Hall.

Members of the public are invited to nominate a loved one to remembe by filling in the form iin this week’s Okehampton Times, on sale in shops tomorrow (Thursday).

The form can also be picked up in outlets in the town.

For a suggested donation of at least £5, people can include a tribute to someone they would like to remember who is no longer with us.

The Lions are sharing any profit made with community organisation Everything Okehampton who will put the money towards the town’s Christmas lights. The money from the Lions will go towards the charitable causes the club supports.
