A TEAM of Okehampton youngsters have become regional table tennis champions.

Four pupils of Okehampton Primary and Okehampton College students took part in the regional school table tennis championships held at Eggbuckland College in Plymouth.

They qualified for the event after becoming Devon champions at the end of 2016. The team represented the county in the competition, competing against other county champions in the region.

The team proved themselves by winning some hard fought matches and finished the day as regional champions.
