A SUCCESSFUL and well attended open day was held last Tuesday (August 14) at Made-Well.

The non-for-profit community interest company, based at West Fishleigh Farm in Hatherleigh, offers a range of opportunities for people with learning and physical disabilities and those with mental heath diagnosis.

It opened its doors to the community last week and offered everyone a chance to take part in a range of activities, including gardening, pottery, baking, arts and crafts and face painting and raffle.

A spokesperson from Made-Well said: ‘It was great to host this community event, network with so many people and showcase all the things Made-Well has to offer not only to attendees but also the wider community.

‘We were blown away with the amount of people who came to enjoy the day and support us. It could not have happened without the hard work and dedication of the team. A fabulous day, we hope to see some of you again soon.’

Made-Well is an inclusive service with the ethos of actively encouraging full participation irrespective of age, background, qualifications, training or ability.

It supports people to enjoy, experience and learn about horticulture, cookery, animal care, therapeutic arts, countryside management and more.
