Residents of Hatherleigh Care Village enjoyed a family open day recently. Home-made cakes, a giant hook-a-duck game and an old-fashioned lucky dip stall were all voted a big hit by residents and visitors.
Friends and families mingled with residents and guests to enjoy a closer look round the care home's facilities and to try their luck on the various stalls.
Residents were delighted by a surprise visit by town crier Ros Chard, together with her dog, Millie.
Raffle prizes were donated by Boots and Beanfeast Wholefoods of Okehampton, and proceeds from the event were split between the residents' association and the Alzheimer's Trust.
