Shebbear College staff and students were delighted with the excellent achievements at A-level.

The overall pass rate was 98%. This relates to 27% of passes being A* and A, and over 75% of passes at A* to C.

The college said the 'impressive results reflected the tremendous hard work and effort put in by pupils and teachers alike in order to maintain the reputation for high standards of achievement of which the college is so proud'.

Notable results include Sam Cappleman-Lynes who achieved six A-level passes — four As and two A* — and an A at AS level.

Daniel Buckland achieved one A* and two As. Frederic Selwyn achieved two As and one B. Robert Chamberlain achieved one A*, one A and one B.
