BIKERS came to town last month when Okehampton motorbike club Stentorian hosted its first annual bike show.

Held at The Kings Arms, the event pulled in more than 700 people and 150 motorbikes.

Other local bike clubs also attended the day-long festivities with many travelling up from Plymouth and down from North Devon.

The afternoon included the presentation of trophies for motorbikes winning certain categories: best classic, best in show, best engineering, best custom and best sports bike.

The day then carried on with live music and a barbecue serving up plenty of sizzling locally-reared meat.

Stentorian president Paul Bridgford said: ‘We are all so pleased that the day was such a success. It was so well supported, not just by other bike clubs but by the local people of Okehampton too.

‘Everyone really seemed to enjoy themselves and we can’t wait for next year. Thank you everyone.’
