BIG-hearted Shebbear College pupil Pip Mahoney spent his summer holidays raising money for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust.

He carried out a week of car washing around Petrockstowe and became quite a well known figure, pushing his wheelbarrow in wind, rain and sun. He then arranged a table top sale in early September and to date has raised just over £650 for Devon Air Ambulance. A further £70 went to Cancer Research and £30 to Children in Need.

The fundraising department of Devon Air Ambulance is so impressed with his efforts that it has invited him to visit their air base as a reward for his hard work.

Headmaster Bob Barnes commented 'Once a Shebbearian always a Shebbearian, and I am delighted to see that one of our pupils showed such initiative in supporting these charities.'
