THE victim of a hijacking off the east African coast by a gang of Somali pirates will be the guest speaker at the next meeting of Okehampton U3A.

Captain Colin Darch's seafaring career spanned over 50 years, and he has long standing familial associations with Okehampton. His talk on Thursday, February 27 promises to be an interesting one.

The U3A meets at 2.30pm in the Garden Room of the Ockment Centre. Membership is open to all those either retired or semi-retired and new and prospective members are always welcome.
