KEEN gardeners are invited to Leawood in Bridestowe this Saturday, May 24, when the annual St Bridget's bring and buy plant sale takes place. Now in its fifteenth year, the sale is in aid of St Bridget's Church and the Children's Society. Everyone is invited to pass on their surplus plants labelled and in pots, and buy from the huge variety available, which will include flowers, vegetables, shrubs and other garden plants. Treetops Pre-School will be having their cake stall and Traidcraft will be selling goods from around the world. The sale will be clearly signposted from the A386 at the Fox and Hounds, and from the centre of Bridestowe. The sale runs from 10am to noon. A £1 entrance fee includes coffee and biscuits, with free entry for children.
